Berlin

Berlin: At the same time the capital of Germany, a federal state in its own right and, with 3.7 million inhabitants, one of the largest cities in Europe. The city, which is nestled around the federal state of Brandenburg in eastern Germany, is crossed by the Spree and Havel rivers. The Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, Television Tower, Tiergarten, Berlin Zoo, the Berlin Wall and Checkpoint Charlie are just some of the world famous sights that Berlin has to offer. Some of the largest and most important museums in Germany are also located in Berlin.
Rents in Berlin have been rising for years. For young families, single parents and single people with average and below average incomes, finding an affordable flat is becoming increasingly difficult. Almost half of Berliners live in a one-person household. Small, affordable flats are therefore in particularly high demand - and hard to get. As a single parent, it makes sense to join forces with like-minded people in order to be able to afford a larger flat together.
