Like the lemures - our philosophy

Lemurs can teach us a valuable lesson:
When lemurs are born, they are not yet fully developed, lacking the strength to cling on to their mother. Therefore, just like human children, lemur babies require intense care. This would leave little time for a single lemur mother to search for food. Lemur mothers found a smart solution: They live together in communal nests, much like flatsharing, and help each other to perform the daily routines and pool their strengths. This way, they are more flexible and can spend more time away from the nest searching for food while her baby is cared for by the other mothers. This kind of mutual support does not only take place among related lemurs, but also unrelated lemurs use this concept.
In these times of housing shortages and rising rents, you as a single parent can also benefit from this principle. Inspired by the social behaviour of lemurs, "Lemulike-Homesharing with kids" helps single mothers or fathers like you to find the right flat, and/or flatmates. Both you and your flatmate can benefit from mutual daily support and for example save on babysitting costs. And who knows, your child might find her new best friend living with her in the same apartment!
Our vision is to let everyone stay in their familiar neighbourhood, enabling children to remain in the same kindergarten or school despite moving apartments.
Unlike other flatsharing services, "Lemulike-Homesharing with kids" offers a tailor-made search for single parents with children, maximizing compatibility not only with the apartment specifications (e.g. size), but also with your flatsharing partners. We will help you find the flatmate with whom you can "lemulike" pool your strengths and share your daily chores.
