Baden Würtemberg- The third largest federal state

Baden-Württemberg is located in the southwest of Germany on the border to France and Switzerland and the state capital is Stuttgart. In the mountainous southwest is the Black Forest, in the east is the Schäbische Alb, where Hohenzollern Castle stands. To the south is Lake Constance and the edge of the Alps and to the north the Hohenlohe Plain and the Kraichgau region.
Besides many big cities there is also a lot of rural area with agriculture, forestry and tourism. While 586 of the municipalities in Baden-Wuerttemberg have less than 5,000 inhabitants, Stuttgart alone has a population of 613,000, Mannheim 314,000, Karlsruhe 297,000 and Freiburg 229,000. Especially in the big cities, shared flats have become more and more established and are now waiting for the WG market for single parents.
