English: detailed description. I'm a single mom with a daughter (4) and I'm looking for a non-smoking family flat-share ideally with a private bathroom/guest WC, or a small apartment with contact to another family. Alternatively a "Pendlerzimmer" that we would use during the holidays and weekends eg Friday to Monday. We are POC, I grew up outside Germany and English is our home language. We do speak German as well however it would be ideal if our sharing family understands English so that they understand when I speak to my daughter. I currently live in Frankfurt but I would like to move to Berlin by September 2025 due to career change. We love nature and music. Our dog died a couple of years ago, so we do not have a pet but we would be happy if there was a pet in the new home. A garden would also be wonderful.
For a harmonious flat share where children are involved it would help if we have similar values. About us: In general I try to keep things simple. We do eat meat, however not every day (2-3 times per week) and then I am mindful that it is free range / organic. We also eat milk products and I also cook vegan a lot and I often use plant-based alternatives in cooking. We avoid highly processed foods and screen time is limited. A non-smoking flatshare is essential for me. Another important aspect for compatibility would be that the other kids in the flatshare don't have their own tablets/smartphones before they are at least 10. Then the kids can learn to use their own creativity and imagination for playing together or keeping themselves busy, whilst also exploring their environment, developing their motor skills, social skills etc. We are spiritual but not adhering to a particular religion.
Hygiene is also important - washing hands after using the toilet, before working in the kitchen and after coming in from outside. This is also a cultural aspect - in my home culture, also in restaurants, the guests are brought water and a bowl for handwashing before they eat.
Lastly, I would ask our flatsharing family not to include my daughter in any photos or videos.
And FKK is not our vibe!
I do not know Berlin very well but I think the South West / Western Burroughs within ca. 10km of Charlottenburg would be preferred.
(Deutsch: kurze Version) Ich bin eine alleinerziehende Mama und würde gerne gemeinschaftlich Wohnen - entweder in einer Familien-WG oder in einer Wohnung mit Kontakt zu anderen Familien im Haus. Da meine Verwandschaft nicht in Deutschland lebt ist es mir wichtig, dass meine Tochter Kontakt zu einem anderen Kind bzw. Kindern hat, und dass die Erwachsene sich gegenseitig mit dem Haushalt und die Kinderbetreuung unterstützen. Wir sind POC und unsere Muttersprache ist Englisch. Wir haben selbst keine Haustiere mehr da unsere alten kleinen Hunde mittlerweile gestorben sind. Meine Tochter und ich lieben Natur und Musik. Ich würde mich über einen Garten freuen, damit wir auch ein paar Hühner haben können, aber das ist natürlich kein muss. Was mir sonst wichtig wäre - Hygiene (Hände waschen vor dem Kochen/Essen, nach dem Toilettengang und wenn wir von draußen reinkommen), Sauberkeit in geteilten Räumen. Ein eigenes Bad oder Gäste WC wäre ein goßer Plus. Wir leben derzeit in Frankfurt am Main, aber ich kann mir auch gut vorstellen in Berlin zu wohnen.
